eWater at The Royal Children's Hospital

eWater is currently reticulated through the kitchen facility at the Royal Children's Hospital, Melbourne.

The site underwent a complete modernised renovation, which was completed in 2011, by a joint venture of architectural firms Bates Smart and Billard Leece Partnership.

Ecologically sustainable development features are a strong component in the design of the new hospital. Features which are being considered in the design include solar panels, orientation, volatile organic compound free materials, collection and re-use of rainwater, water efficient appliances and landscaping, fully reticulated eWater System, efficient lighting, heating and cooling, 500 bike parking spaces, materials with high recycled content, and 5 star Green Star status.

Within the RCH kitchen, eWater is used for all surface cleaning, food prep, refillable spray bottles, hand washing and even as a critical component of the baby bottle and teat aid sanitising process
