Architectural firm Bates Smart has designed the 5-star innovative aged care facility Emmy Monash. With the new building, Emmy Monash Aged Care aims to deliver high quality residential care to the Jewish community in Melbourne.

An emphasis has been placed on environmental sustainability and the cleverly designed space by Bates Smart has integrated a fully reticulated eWater System.

eWater will service the entire 4 level site, from the to servery kitchens and cleaners rooms on each level and throughout the main kitchen, effectively enabling the team at Emmy Monash to use eWater for cleaning and sanitizing in resident rooms, dining areas and public spaces in addition to hand washing and food preparation as well as equipment cleaning.  

The eWater unit ultimately reduces the overall carbon imprint and chemical footprint of the facility, delivering immediate benefits and is anticipated to have a 3-year payback.
